About Eleanor

I help students who need a specific IELTS band for a university offer, usually 6.5 to 7.5. Most come to me stuck half a band short in Writing, and that is where I do my best work.

Before teaching online full time I spent nine years in UK university language centres running pre-sessional courses, so I know exactly what admissions tutors expect from your English once you arrive.

Why this works: Leads with who she helps and the result they want (a band score for a university offer), then backs it up with relevant experience. Learners decide in the first two lines.

Qualifications

  • DELTACambridge Assessment English · Module 1, 2 & 3
  • CELTACambridge Assessment English
  • BA English LanguageUniversity of Leeds

Why this works: Lists the full name and awarding body of each qualification. On a real profile, these show a Verified badge once we have checked your certificates — usually within one working day.

Specialisms and levels

  • IELTS Academic
  • IELTS Writing
  • University entry
  • EAP

Levels taught

  • A1Beginner
  • A2Elementary
  • B1Intermediate
  • B2Upper-int.
  • C1Advanced
  • C2Proficiency

Why this works: Four focused specialisms beat ten vague ones. Learners filter the directory by subject and level, so precise choices put you in front of the right students.

What your first lesson looks like

  1. A 20-minute diagnostic: one Task 2 essay plan and a short speaking sample.
  2. Your band score gap, criterion by criterion, in plain language.
  3. A written study plan with the number of lessons I think you need — and no more.

Why this works: Telling learners exactly what happens in lesson one removes the biggest reason people don't send an enquiry: uncertainty.
