These terms govern your use of FindEnglishTeacher.com, operated by Elite Language Solutions, Southampton, United Kingdom. By using this site you agree to these terms.

1. What FindEnglishTeacher.com is

FindEnglishTeacher.com is a directory and introduction service connecting English language learners with independent teachers and schools. We verify teachers' stated qualifications before publishing their profiles. We are not a party to any lesson agreement — lessons, scheduling, and payment are arranged directly between student and teacher.

2. No commission — how we make money

We charge no commission on lessons. Teachers keep 100% of their lesson fees. Our revenue comes from optional subscription plans (Pro and School listings) paid by teachers and schools.

3. Teacher obligations

• You must hold the qualifications you state (CELTA, DELTA, PGCE, QTS or equivalent) and provide genuine certificates for verification.
• Profile information must be accurate and kept up to date.
• Misrepresenting qualifications or experience will result in immediate removal from the platform.

4. Verification

We check teachers' certificates against the stated awarding institution before profiles go live. Verification confirms the qualification document provided to us; it is not a guarantee of teaching quality or ongoing conduct. Students should use normal judgement when engaging any teacher.

5. Students

Contacting teachers through this site is free and requires no account. You agree to use enquiry forms genuinely and not to send spam, abusive messages, or solicitations.

6. Payments between students and teachers

All lesson payments are made directly to the teacher or school on whatever terms you agree with them. We recommend agreeing price, cancellation terms, and lesson format in writing before your first paid lesson. We are not responsible for refunds, disputes, or the outcome of lessons.

7. Subscriptions

Pro (£29/month) and School (£79/month) subscriptions renew monthly and can be cancelled at any time, taking effect at the end of the current billing period. Prices may change with 30 days' notice.

8. Content and intellectual property

Teachers grant us a licence to display their submitted profile content (text and photos) on the site. All other site content, design, and branding belongs to Elite Language Solutions and may not be copied without permission.

9. Liability

The site is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for losses arising from lessons, teacher–student arrangements, or your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of the site constitutes acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
