FindEnglishTeacher.com is operated by Elite Language Solutions, Southampton, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us:

• Teacher applications: name, email address, phone number (optional), country, qualifications, teaching experience, hourly rates, and professional bio — submitted via our registration form.
• Student enquiries: name, email address, and the details of your enquiry — submitted via teacher or school enquiry forms.
• Verification documents: copies of teaching certificates emailed to us by teachers for verification purposes.

We do not use tracking cookies for advertising and we do not buy, sell, or trade personal data.

2. How your data is processed

Form submissions on this site are processed by Formspree, Inc. (formspree.io), which transmits your submission to our email inbox. Formspree acts as a data processor; its privacy policy is available at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy. Verification documents are received and stored in our email system.

3. Why we process it (legal basis)

• To run the service — creating teacher profiles, verifying qualifications, and passing student enquiries to the relevant teacher or school (legitimate interest / performance of a contract).
• To communicate with you — responding to enquiries and applications (legitimate interest).

We do not send marketing emails without your consent.

4. Who we share it with

Student enquiry details are shared only with the specific teacher or school you contact. Teacher profile information you submit is published on your public profile once approved. We do not share data with any other third parties except where required by law.

5. How long we keep it

Teacher application data is kept while your profile is active, and removed within 30 days of a deletion request. Student enquiries are retained for up to 12 months for follow-up purposes. Verification documents are deleted once verification is complete.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and the right to object to processing or request data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email verify@findenglishteacher.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

7. Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Access to submitted data is limited to the people who need it to run the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
